Our Supply Chain + How it Works

Waimea Herb Company operates a transparent and sustainable supply chain that prioritizes local partnerships, organic farming practices, and community empowerment. The process is designed to produce high-quality tea blends and wholesale herbs while promoting a healthier, more diverse agricultural landscape in Hawaii.

  1. Local Sourcing and Collaboration
    • Partnerships with Small Farmers: We collaborate with local farmers to source key ingredients such as herbs and spices. This includes working closely with coffee, cacao, and fruit farmers to diversify their crops and transition away from mono-cropping.
    • Ecosystem Assessment: Waimea Herb Company assesses farmers' lands and ecosystems to identify suitable crops that are both profitable and sustainable.
    • Safety Net Style Market: Trying new crops and products can be risky and full of what-ifs. As a wholesale buyer, Waimea Herb Company assists in pairing products and produce with potential buyers, helping farmers minimize the risks that come with exploring a new market.
  2. Sustainable and Organic Farming
    • Organic Farming Practices: All ingredients are non-GMO and are grown using organic and sustainable methods to ensure the highest quality as well as minimizing the environmental impact.
    • Educational Support: The company provides farmers with training and resources on organic and sustainable farming techniques, fostering long-term ecological health and productivity.
  3. Harvesting and Processing
    • Local Harvesting: Ingredients are hand-harvested to maintain freshness and uphold traditional practices.
    • Artisan Processing: The harvested ingredients are processed locally to create herbs and blends with fresh, robust flavors.
  4. Community Engagement and Education
    • Cultural Preservation: Waimea Herb Company integrates ancient Hawaiian agricultural practices with modern farming tools and techniques.
    • Educational Outreach: The company works with local schools, organizations, and communities to teach the importance of sustainable agriculture and Native Hawaiian traditions.
  5. Product Delivery and Impact
    • Quality Products: The final products are packaged and delivered to customers with a focus on purity and health benefits.
    • Positive Local Impact: By supporting local farmers and families while also promoting sustainable practices, Waimea Herb Company helps strengthen the community and preserve Hawaii's agricultural heritage.

Let’s cultivate a stronger, more sustainable Hawaii together. 🌎✨
