The Sweet Story Behind Hoʻōla Honey and their Lavender-Infused Honey

Founded in 2016 by Native Hawaiian couple Kailin Kim and Kai Hudgins, Hoʻōla Honey began with a mission to rescue and relocate honey bee colonies across Hawaiʻi Island. Hoʻōla—which means “to save, to heal, to thrive”— has saved over 200 bee colonies, relocating them to North Kohala to support local agriculture through natural pollination.

In collaboration with Waimea Herb Company, Hoʻōla Honey has expanded their offerings to include both a luxurious lavender-infused honey.

Their collaboration with local lavender growers is a testament to the magic that happens when small, family-owned businesses join forces! This honey isn’t just a treat for the taste buds; it’s a story of connection, care, and creativity.

With every spoonful of this honey, you’re supporting a vision of Hawaiʻi where local businesses thrive, the land is nurtured, and traditions are honored. It’s more than a product— It’s a reflection of Hawaiʻi’s spirit, brought to life through the shared passion and dedication of two local families.

You can now get your own jar of their Lavender-Infused Honey in our online store.
